The backing is a thread which is placed between the reel and flyline.
It extends the length of the line in case of departure of a large fish, increasing the diameter of the reel spool: rewind faster and less memory for the line.
Made of twisted terylene. The terylene is a very soft synthetic fiber (less abrasive as Dacron) which does not attack the rings during friction.
Backing EUROFLY.
Resistance 25 pounds.
